Asbestos surveys

Asbestos surveys are carried out by our surveyor who is qualified to the BOHS P402 Standard. The surveys are conducted in a quality and timely manner, and any samples taken on site are immediately despatched to a UKAS accredited laboratory for analysis.

Asbestos surveys allow the instructing party to comply with The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulation 2004 (Latest revision 2012), which imposes on the duty holder the duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises.

"The duty holder is the person or organisation that has a clear responsibility for the maintenance or repair of non-domestic premises". It may be an owner-occupier, or tenant with full repairing responsibilities or a landlord in charge of communal areas where a premises has more than one tenant.

After an asbestos survey has been produced and issued the duty holder would then be able to produce an asbestos managment plan in conjunction with the asbestos survey. Ask our surveyor for advice or assistance with this matter.
